Why we like it

One of the most advertised cards out there is the Capital One Venture card. It is a solid card for free travel that is very easy to use. Venture miles are flexible because you can redeem the miles for anything deemed “travel” on your credit card statement. These miles may not be as valuable as Chase Ultimate Rewards, but they come in handy and can complement other reward redemptions. This card earns 2 "miles" per dollar spent. When redeemed, each mile is worth 1 cent each toward travel when reimbursing yourself with miles. However, miles can also be transferred to 18 airline and hotel partners, such as Air Canada Aeroplan, Air France/KLM Flying Blue, British Airways Avios, Choice Privileges and Wyndham Rewards — making your miles even more valuable. Lastly, you'll also receive up to $120 application fee credit for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck. NOTE: As of 4/24, Capital One is switching the Venture card from Visa to Mastercard for all new cardholders.
